About The Santa Fe Psychedelic Society:
A Psychedelic Society is a community based organization that hosts consistent events for their local community for the purpose of connecting, educating, and supporting individuals who recognize the potential of psychedelic experiences for healing, personal transformation, the exploration of consciousness and scientific advancement.
The Santa Fe Psychedelic Society is in community with a global network of founders and representatives of psychedelic societies around the world. We support the rights of people to responsibly use psychedelic substances for personal and collective spiritual exploration, healing, growth, and even just for fun. In support of this mission, we collaborate with allies in social, political, and scientific institutions. We support changes to existing laws and policies that would decriminalize and reschedule psychedelics, allowing for research and safe access to psychedelic substances.
Through accurate education and public engagement, we resolve to change the cultural dialogue surrounding psychedelic substances to more accurately reflect what is known, and steer it towards more productive and compassionate narratives.
Like mushrooms emerging after the rains, the global network of Psychedelic Societies is rising up as a public forum and voice for all who appreciate the genuine usefulness of psychedelics in their lives.
As the founder of the first Psychedelic Society in San Francisco, once said;
“as psychedelics reach into the mainstream, we need to create more safe spaces for dialogue and for integrating lessons learned during psychedelic experiences into our everyday life”.
The Santa Fe Psychedelic Society is a space of reverence, inquiry, and connection—a place to explore the transformative potential of psychedelic experiences in a grounded and welcoming community. Whether you’re newly curious or have walked the path of expanded states of consciousness for many years, you are invited to join us in circle.
Our vision is rooted in a deep commitment:
To promote the responsible and beneficial use of psychedelics,
To destigmatize these powerful tools for healing, insight, and creativity,
To educate the public with integrity, humility, and openness, and
To support the well-being and interconnectedness of our local community here in Santa Fe.
Our gatherings are intended to be inclusive, respectful spaces for shared wisdom, learning, and belonging. This is a movement of thoughtful engagement—one that honors both the mystery and the medicine.
What to Look Forward to at Our Meetings:
First-person storytelling: We welcome the sharing of personal psychedelic experiences--
your breakthroughs, confusions, beauty, and lessons are all welcome here.
Community conversation: Participate in informal, inclusive discussions on topics like microdosing, integration, plant allyship, sacred ceremony, policy shifts, and psychedelics as tools for social and ecological change.
Guest voices and local wisdom:
Hear insights from researchers, writers, therapists, Indigenous leaders, artists, and advocates shaping the psychedelic ecosystem.
Media and literature:
Gather for occasional documentary screenings and book discussions that spark dialogue and open new perspectives.
Integration & healing:
Join integration circles and somatic workshops for meaning-making, emotional processing, and community-supported insight.
Creative connection:
Enjoy occasional art nights, outdoor gatherings, and contemplative events that foster community, ritual, and joy.
This is not a space for promotion or persuasion, but for presence. We are here to listen as much as to speak; to learn as much as to offer.
